Troubleshooting the app
NB - We’re pleased to say we have a significant update due for release later this month (May), this update will greatly improve app performance!
Thank you for using the CampusConnect app service, we hope you’ve been able to access the network to make connections, friendships and get answers to your questions before you arrive on campus.
If you have landed on this page because you are experiencing problems, we are sorry this has happened, and we want to make it right.
We’ve outlined current common problems below with how to go about fixing them, follow the steps and you’ll be up and running in no time!
My app showing as offline when I open it, even though I’m connected
Android
To solve it you should clear your app data and app cache.
1) Open your phone Settings.
2) Tap the ‘Storage’ heading to open its Settings (if your phone runs Android Oreo or earlier, you’ll want to open the App manager).
3) Tap the ‘Other apps’ heading to see a list of your installed apps.
4) Find the ‘CampusConnect’ app, click on it to open, then tap to clear data and clear cache. Clearing cached data does not clear other data such as logins, but it does often fix things.
iOS
Please uninstall the app, then go to the app store and re-download. You don’t need to register again, just select ‘Log in’ and enter your existing account details.
I’ve tried these fixes, it’s still not working
Don’t panic! There’s another way. You can now log in to your CampusConnect service via your browser. Find your university CampusConnect login page here: www.campusconnect.ie/campusconnect-university-logins
