Warwick Business School (WBS) has formed a strategic partnership with CampusConnect, a bespoke online community provider, to transform the onboarding journey for MBA candidates and maximise conversion from offer to enrolment.
Graeme Morgan, Director of Recruitment at WBS, said:
“The CampusConnect platform provides us with a great opportunity to help our MBA candidates to get to know WBS and understand the values of the School.”
“WBS is for the Change Makers and wants candidates to grasp what that means on the CampusConnect platform by talking to other candidates, staff and our alumni. At WBS we provide the tools and knowledge to become Change Makers, where people leave with not only the latest research and theories, but with the practical skills and mindset to make a positive impact on the world.”
“The CampusConnect platform will allow us to show candidates how the Change Maker journey works and the benefits of joining the WBS community from the moment they apply.”

ARU faced difficulty in predicting international student conversion rates, making it challenging to predict cohort size and make the right number of offers to meet targets, which inhibited growth. The university partnered with CampusConnect to support international students with the pre-arrival journey.
The International team works closely with CampusConnect’s Community Manager to onboard students into the ARU community and help them find relevant groups and form connections as soon as they join. The January 2023 enrolment period saw a minimum 72% conversion rate from offer to enrolment. By offering a personalized, safe, and supportive space for new entrants, ARU leverages the applicant community to meet its strategic goal of diversifying the international student market.
“Building communities between students from different countries ensures everyone feels welcome and that they will be able to make friends amongst the diverse student body.”

With its international student population growing, the University of Limerick implemented CampusConnect as a way to facilitate group-based information dissemination and reduce the volume of email queries staff were receiving from offer-holders.
Following the success of the initial implementation, the University worked with CampusConnect to expand the scope of the service to engage more communities of incoming students, boosting enrollment rates by enabling international offer holders to find and connect with their communities of fellow applicants, current students and alumni, all before they even arrive on campus.
“CampusConnect was precisely what we were looking for. Rather than dealing with individual emails, we can answer questions in real-time where assigned groups of applicants can see them and benefit from them. That cuts down the need for repeat generic queries, making life easier for us and much more convenient for our offer-holders.”

LJMU first launched CampusConnect 6 years ago, and since then it has been steadily expanding the scope of the deployment. The UG Admissions team wanted a way to give applicants a feel for the university and the LJMU community before they arrived. CampusConnect offered a bespoke solution, supporting peer-to-peer connections and providing a sense of belonging. The results of the undergraduate expansion speak for themselves: over 3,000 undergraduate offer-holders signed up to the platform, of which 75% went on to enrol at the university.
Today, every international, postgraduate, and undergraduate applicant can take advantage of CampusConnect to find their home within the LJMU community before they even arrive in Liverpool.
“The reception to CampusConnect has been excellent. People who might otherwise have struggled to find their peers have been made to feel welcome, and applicants can see that LJMU is a good place to enrol because there’s so much opportunity and such a great community.”

University College Cork partnered with CampusConnect to launch an entirely digital service to enhance support of international students in their transition into Ireland and the University. Recognising that students arriving from overseas need reassurance from peers that there will be somebody to share this experience with, UCC opted for a digital solution that allowed applicants to provide mutual support and reassure each other that they’re not alone.
UCC opted for groups based on colleges and countries to help incoming students find those with commonalities between them. These groups have already seen students pool together to organise accommodation, share tips on country-specific insurance and bond over the feeling of being ‘in the same boat’.
“The platform gives us dynamic and bespoke channels to engage incoming students, and to allay some of the anxiety that is natural when moving to a new country. We know that community matters, and this project is a good example of how digital communities can be inclusive, supportive, and important. Our ambition is nothing short of setting students up for growth and progress towards their dreams.”

Staffs CampusConnect offers applicants a highly-customised community space where they are carefully guided towards meaningful peer connections. Adele, a dedicated CampusConnect Community Manager, ensures that every new student who joins is individually on-boarded and guided into relevant parts of the Staffordshire University community.
The community management aspect adds value throughout: from examining the characterstics of the incoming cohort, to seeking their input on groups that can be build based on their need to connect with like-minded peers.
“We chose CampusConnect for our applicants because we want them to join a branded and customised Staffs. community. We love how CampusConnect tailor solutions and provide a community manager, Adele, who is like an extension of our team.”

Maynooth’s international team leverage their student ambassadors and alumni to provide support, friendship and guidance to incoming students via the Maynooth University CampusConnect. It’s a win-win situation: ambassadors meaningfully welcome applicants into the MU community whilst developing their own skills and networks.
“At MU we want to make sure we offer support to our students, before, during and after their experience. The ‘before’ part is essential, as it will be a factor that influences their decision for the students to come to MU for their studies. We recognise that for students, contact with someone of their age enables easier communication, as they can feel comfortable and as equals.”

ChiUni CampusConnect allows the University to maximise one of its strongest features: a close-knit community. The university's ethos of building connections perfectly aligns with the capabilities of CampusConnect's community platform.
The community sees consistently high engagement in both private and public messaging channels.
The CampusConnect team support the University to create niche interest groups based on the current cohort. These offer a space for students to identify themselves and discuss their experiences, all while remaining part of the bigger picture.
“I think one of the stand out advantages of Campus Connect has been the ease with which we have been able to create – and manage - multiple interest sub groups – such as individual halls of residence, for instance, creating meaningful links pre-arrival.”
Bob Savill, Head of Recruitment and Admissions
