Motivation and striving for self-improvement…

“I moved abroad to study because I never wanted to restrict and limit myself to just my country but I wanted to know and learn more about other people’s cultures, traditions, practices, way of life and how I can improve and widen the scope of my knowledge, ideas and experiences.”

“I used to feel like a failure when I was little, growing up with friends that were always ahead of me academically which made me look inferior to them, but then, my dad always told me something which has always been what has been driving me to making the best out of life. He said: “you are never a failure until you accept defeat as permanent.” Those words changed my life positively and I have never lost focus.”

The shift to UK study…

“I was inspired to choose my current course because I have wanted to be a Finance Consultant since I was about 10 years old due to the environment I found myself in. I had to study hard and finished my first degree in Banking and Finance. My current course as a masters student is a continuation of what I studied in my first degree and as well as studying what I wanted as a career.”

“The course has been going well, although there have been some differences in the mode of study here in the UK, but I have been able to balance it up. I enjoy the mode of teaching at ARU and am happy making friends - especially from different cultures and learning different cultures and traditions as well.”

The benefits of being an ARU CampusConnect ambassador…

“I decided to become a CampusConnect ambassador because I am passionate about helping people in the way that I was also guided when I was applying as a new student. There’s always a strong need for prospective students to be guided and enlightened about how to successfully complete their registration, payment plan and visa application.”

“Some of the benefits I experience as a CampusConnect ambassador are: learning a lot about the school, being able to meet new students, improving my knowledge by carrying out research to answer some of their questions that I’m unsure of, and meeting the ARU staffs both online and face to face, which has helped me to gain experience.”

Ifeoluwa has settled in well to life in the UK and is looking forward to continuing his journey at ARU, sharing that: “What surprised me the most about the new culture is the way and manner in which things are done in oneness, love, understanding and unity to achieve a common goal. This reminds me of my home country, in that they accord respect for each other in Yoruba land.”
