We’re delighted to be working with Carys Roberts & the Marketing & Recruitment team at Bangor University on a new comms. strategy for UCAS offer holders starting this September2018 - a slight change of focus.

While our service has previously targeted the critical offer to registration conversion phase for (largely non-EU) international students, the collaboration with Bangor University represents our first full deployment centring in on the UCAS UK domestic student experience.

The focus may be different, the core goals remain similar:

  • Increased conversion of Bangor University offer holders for September ‘18.

  • Develop an effective method for communicating with UCAS prospects (including ambassadors and nominated staff comms).

  • Improved applicant experience throughout the admissions process and into welcome week.

We have visited lots of campuses over the years and Bangor immediately came across as being one of the friendliest, with staff and students really keen to welcome and help. The

University is rooted in the local community, and there a real sense of pride of place.

We first met Carys and her team on site at Bangor University several months ago. The

discussion then was around the benefits of better support for incoming students and the

value in providing authentic, personalised communication.

Carys and the team were interested in a mobile based comms. solution that would

effectively communicate their unique offering in a personalised way to individual UCAS

prospects.

From considering the Bangor context as a group we felt that the most value and immediate

impact was a focus on the firm acceptance to registration part of the UCAS applicant

lifecycle.

Lots to do!

How it works

From 1st Discovery meeting to go live takes approximately 3 - 6 weeks. During this time,

we work with the Bangor University team to identify key personnel, review timelines and

establish project scope and key impact measures.

We familiarise Bangor University staff with the admin functionality of their new system,

allowing them to get live data insights, update content, and send messages using push

notifications.

We work very closely with Bangor University in these early stages, we lend a hand with

content creation, design work and provide insight into how student ambassadors can be

engaged and leveraged to provide authentic, meaningful interactions/engagement for

offer-holders.

Looking forward to launching the Bangor University CampusConnect app in June!
